In the citayyyyy of L.A.

Day 2 of the epic cross country road trip started a little late. Hey, why break tradition.

The Travelodge we stayed at had a breakfast available but it was several miles away at a restaurant. A little different, but we ventured over to get food anyway. The place was called Lumberjacks.

Now THIS is the type of place I think of that makes an authentic road trip experience. And boy was this hoppin'! The wait was pretty long but we got our food quickly and it was "free" with our stay at the hotel.

We swiftly left Redding and headed on out toward Los Angeles. It was pretty neat seeing all the Olive, Grape (Wine), and Orange orchards/vines along the way. There wasn't much to see and thankfully the weather has agreed with us. Sacramento was the next big city. We stopped for gas and drove through the city a bit.

The drive was pretty much just your typical drive. Not too much to report. BUT there is something to make any drive more exciting. We listened to some fun 90's hits from NSync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and as my title suggests, a little 2Pac (California Love.)

Around 840 we finally got into L.A. and met up with an old friend who only moved to L.A. 6 months ago. We ate raw vegan food at a cafe near Paramount Studios. It actually was really really good.

After dinner we drove to my sisters friend from elementary school's apartment where we were staying. She lived in Arcadia, a suburb of L.A. In fact, it's only 5 miles from where my mother grew up.

I feel like today wasn't very exciting to report about but it was much better than the previous day. Stay tuned for pictures and tales from my adventures of exploring L.A. tourist spots!
